Political Coordinator

Abby for Iowa seeks a Political Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to shape strategy and execute political strategy for an inspiring people-first candidate in one of the top Senate campaigns of 2022, all while gaining valuable political experience in one of the most historically important political states in the country.

The Political Coordinator is responsible for managing and building relationships across Iowa . The Political Coordinator’s day-to-day responsibilities will include responding to county chairs, local endorsers, assisting in planning and running political events, and supporting the political department.

Responsibilities:

Implement political outreach strategy: build and manage key constituency groups, and maintain relationships with leaders and stakeholders
Assist with political call time, staffing the candidate and surrogates at events, and other projects like mail, ad shoots, yard signs, etc.
Assist with planning and running local political events: communicate with guests, recruit attendees, manage logistical planning, and staff events
Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

Commitment to elect Abby Finkenauer to the U.S. Senate
Relationship building skills and ability to work with organizations, leaders, and activists across the state
Ability to work well with a team and balance multiple projects at once
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Solutions oriented attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing and planning political and/or community events
Prior political campaign experience preferred but not required

Salary: $3,000-3,500/mo plus benefits
