Abby for Iowa seeks hardworking and eager individuals to serve as Finance Interns. This is an exciting opportunity to work for an inspiring people-first candidate in one of the top Senate campaigns of 2022, all while gaining valuable finance experience in one of the most historically important political states in the country.
Finance Interns will work closely with finance staff at all levels, primarily focusing on donor research and event building. No campaign experience is required for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Support virtual and in-person events by making phone calls and sending emails to potential attendees
- Conduct donor research
- Attend fundraising events, if in-state
- Assist with production and mailing of donor correspondence
- Assist finance staff with additional duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Skilled in Word, Excel, Google Sheets required, NGP experience preferred
- Access to cell phone and laptop
- Access to reliable transportation, if in-state
Compensation: Interns are paid $15 per hour, with an expectation of completing 10-15 hours of work per week with the campaign.
Location: This position can be remote or in-person. If in-person, the position is based in Cedar Rapids, IA.
